Chemical and biological warfare experiments

A number of the released hostages have given independent testimony of chemical and biological warfare experiments involving tests on other hostages, believed to remain in detention. This evidence relates to the time of their transfer from Qalat Al Salman prison to Al Habaniyah air base prisons in 1986. They discovered messages hidden in the holes between the bricks in their cells in Al Habaniyah left by the previous hostages there that they were going to be taken for chemical and biological warfare experiments.

If such experiments involving human subjects occurred it is a breach of the Conventions on Human Rights and on the Use and Banning of Chemical and Biological Weapons of the utmost gravity. It is therefore urgent that the United Nations or other appropriate bodies investigate this evidence to determine whether such experiments did in fact take place and what has happened to the subjects of them.
